MPG 550i vs. 550ix

Hello,

is there a significant MPG difference between the "i" and the "ix"?

according to official EPA numbers I think it's like 6% difference in the city and 4% on the highway. The biggest determining factor is going to be driving behavior. If you do a lot of short trips in city driving your gas mileage is seriously going to hover around 12 mpg. If it's all highway driving moderate to long distances than you are looking at 25mpg. Either way, both are terrible.
