Slight pull to the right FIXED
My 550i had its first vist to the dealer tuesday, initially only to change oil/filter @ 1700 miles. Decided to be conservative, get rid of the break in oil/filter on my nickel , plan to keep this 550i 100K + miles, just have never bought off on the BMW oil service intervals of 11-13K miles between oil changes. will do this again every 5-6000 miles.
While there I asked my SA to check what was only a very mild pull to the right that only seemed to exist only on certain crowned roads. Figured a quik active steering alignment would do the trick. Was suprised to get the call that they discovered my coil springs were incorrectly aligned, They first tried the software fix, then when that didnt correct the pull , they removed front shock assemblies, compressed springs, and then rotated springs per PUMA protocol. Whats interetesting is my car is an April 2011 build, hadnt heard about any post March '11build cars been afflicted with this, nonetheless, car now tracks PERFECTLY ...and it has fresh oil

Good to know...I've got almost the exact same car as you coming in this next week (I got the Oyster/Black interior).
How are your overall impressions of the car after a few thousand miles? Any complaints? I have owned many BMW's and M cars and am very excited about the F10 550i M Sport. I loved the test drive and they seem to be very well rounded, tons of power, technology, luxury, etc... In particular how do you like the transmission? Reason I ask is that I'm in a F10 528i loaner right now and the transmission is often jerky, and lunges sometimes when accelerating from a stop. Just overall seems to be kinda jumpy down low and hunts for gears at times too. I'm hoping the 550i transmission is not like this (I did get the sport paddles too which will help). Thanks very much in advance for any feedback. Cheers |

my SAT is perfect, no lunging or jumping technology , especially how everything is cleanly integrated, is top drawer. Today, was playing Pandora thru iPhone plugged into media adapter/connected drive, very nice ! power is direct and linear, available at will and comes on hard. I have a few FWY on ramps I have some fun on.... Toggle to Sport + , creep up behind un suspecting car, make sure all is clear , depress throttle , switch merge lanes and zoom past , usually hit 85+ MPH by end of ramp smiling whole way, slow down amd merger into FWY ...all is good my .02, enjoy !
