WTB: Wheels for my F10 535xi (2011)
Sorry guys, I'm a noob when it comes to finding wheels, what fits, what doesn't, etc. I am looking to get a nice set of wheels for my 535xi. What are some wheels that you guys would recommend? I want to make sure that it fits and sits nice on the car. Also I want to have all seasons on the car due to Chicago weather, so I'm guessing they can't be too wide. Eventually I plan on getting some KW V3s to lower the car to reduce the space between the wheels/fender and KW are the only ones that make coilovers for xdrive (to my knowledge). If this were to be your car....what kind of wheels would you put? Does it have to be a square set up due to it being xdrive?
If anyone has a nice set they're selling I'm open to see what's out there as well! Help! |

KW were the only ones I have seen that make coilovers for xDrive.
As for wheels, square allows you to rotate them for even wear, but is not required. The important part is rolling circumference, which needs to be < 1% difference (front to rear) to protect the transfer case. For all season tires (CHI yay), I used to have Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3, but found them to wear quickly (only 25k miles). I have Continental DWS 06 now, 255-40r19 (+1 width) on square stock 351M wheels, with no rubbing & good wear. By the way, in your pictures, what wheels are those? Looks like 20" - how are they with our CHI pot holes? |
