BMW Ultimate Care+ Maintenance Program

My CPO 535i is coming up to the end of the 4 yr/50,000 mi Factory Maintenance Program next month (at 40k miles now) and I have been thinking whether the BMW Ultimate Care+ Maintenance Program is worth it. The list price for 1 year is $1150, 2 years is $2295, and 3 years is $3230. I'm not sure if I can get a better price by shopping around.

My front brakes and rotors were already replaced before I purchased at 29k miles and the rear brakes say they need to be serviced in about 3k miles. I want to try to get them replaced before the factory maintenance plan is up but will be looking at about $400-$600 afterwards at an indy.

Outside of the brakes, if only looking at oil and filter service, cabin air filter, and engine air filter (~$200 a year), I doubt they will cost as much as the maintenance program upgrade if they are performed once a year. Additionally, I'm not sure if spark plugs will need to be replaced before 60k miles. I only drive about 5-7k miles a year now as my work situation has changed.

If I get these performed at an indy, I believe the cost of maintenance will be much cheaper than the maintenance program. Is there anything else that may be covered by the maintenance program upgrade that I'm forgetting? I just wanted to get some thoughts before making a decision.

TIA,

BMWMacht

FYI I paid $1950 for 2yr/50K miles (to coincide with the CPO warranty) for the maintenance plan. I know what the plan cost my dealer and they still made decent money. One thing to consider is the plan only covers SCHEDULED maintenance.

Mind sharing your source? Is it through a dealer or through a third party? I'm currently shopping around for ESCs for my 2014 535i with 38K and have to make a decision within a month.

I got a quote for $2,700 for an additional 2 years /50K. And $3,400 for 3 years /50 K from a dealer in Houston.

As an FYI, that's less than what I paid for my 3 year extension in Los Angeles... Though I did take advantage of a BMW rebate they had last year that effectively dropped the cost to $3100.

I took my 535i in this past week to have the brakes checked. Unfortunately, the pad thickness was too thick for my SA to replace under the factory maintenance plan. By the time my brakes will be due, I will be out of the 4 years/50k miles so I am planning on purchasing the Ultimate Care+ plan for 1 or 2 years. I think 1 year is most beneficial as my SA mentioned I will be due for spark plugs along my oil change later this year. With rear brakes/rotors, oil change, and spark plugs, I think it might pay for itself. My front brakes still have 30k+ of life left.

My local dealer and the dealer where I purchased my car were both unwilling to budge on the Ultimate Care+ plan. They said the price was fixed by BMW. Anyone recommend a dealer where I might be able to get a discount on the maintenance plan?
