I prefer upgraded noob rays. Faster/cheaper/versatile. Back them up with the right units and you're good.

nono, I wasn't rushing carriers, I asked the team to help me protect against the rush.

After yesterday, I now see what you're talking about the carriers not being what they were. I got owned from a group of zerg corruptors.

Seems like the only way carriers work is if a) the other player doesnt pay attention and doesnt focus attack on the carriers, just the little ships and b) you have to get 15+ of them to protects against corruprots.

Yep, I see no reason for carriers anymore... as mentioned above, the void rays are much better and more viable option. Carriers have effectively been nerfed... ANY air or antiair will take it out quite easily

I'm having problems with one of the levels on Char, I believe it's the 3rd. It's the one where you have to protect the artifact until it's fully charged while waves of zerg hit the base. I keep getting to around 92-95% before it gets destroyed. Haven't had any problems on any other level. Any suggestions on how to beat it? I've tried going all ground defense structures and tried going with a bunch of battlecruisers to go into the zerg base and detroy parts of it. Both to no success...

I'm having the same problem as Makushr. Built up tons of defensive structures and the hive mind emulators. I did the mission to take out their fliers. And I try to destroy those worms asap.

can you not built medic & wraiths anymore in online vs? is it only for campaign? i tried making them in an online match and their icon to build them isnt even there...

Beat it last night easily.

Gets tons of tanks and Banshees. I built (per side) about 3-4 bunkers with marines and other units, about 8 fire turrets (whatever they're called), 6-7 tanks in siege mode (some behind bunkers and some from high ground) and had about 3 svu's to repair. Then, I built as many banshees as i could and used them to take out the worms. you constanly lose them, so you have to build move and bring them back to be repaired. Use them as well to take out kerrigan, but watch out for her storm cloud. I lose about 1/4 of them on kerrigan attacks, but i had so much money it didn't matter.

wow this game is too easy against computers

build base
put 2 6 person bunkers to defend with like 4 siege tanks

then proceed to make 4-5 healbusses.... fill them up with marines and tanks. get 3 banshees and two vikings to escort your healbusses and 2 battle cruisers.

Wait for next attact, after you rape their attack with your defense, start your surprise attack and unload all your boys behind their base and with your air support youve got its an insta win. its almost such a great strategy its not even fun.....

Or with Protoss you build a bunch of gateways and convert them to warps. after repelling their wave you warp a crapload of units into their base.

I don't understand how this ELO system is going to work with these bonus points? I mean they feed a lot of extra points into the system. I lose like 10-11 points for a loss and win about 30+ for a win in Platinum league still... Granted I only win half my matches but at this rate I'm sure I will progress to the next league eventually.
