It's not a road trip car. I've only had a e90 m sport and with upgrade seats. After a few hours you have to stretch and stand. The side lumbar is not made for big guys like us.

As I mentioned previously, I sold my 'E92 M3 and got a '15 F10 M Sport. There are times when I do miss the M3 as it was an absolute blast to drive but I so love the F10 and its ride. I guess it all depends on where you are in life (our kids are grown and out of the house) and also your body size as has been mentioned. I'm not a big guy (5'9 170) but I am fairly solid in my build so it was a snug fit in my M3 but for that car you need that if you're going to drive it like it was meant to be driven. You will also feel every imperfection in the road. I test drove the new M4 and it was no different than my E92. I have a 22 mile (one way) commute to work here in Houston and love driving the F10. It has the get up and go factor that I still wanted but offers it in a nice comfortable ride.

If you haven't already, you might wanna check the M3/4 forum to find others that already made the switch. I think most of us tend to move on to the other forums as we switch cars and not look back as much. At least that's what I do.. I suspect you'll find more that have switched from F10 to 85 in that forum that don't read this one anymore.
