Long Island Driving Roads
Trying to gather a database for the best cop-free (relatively) driving roads on Long Island. I'll be compiling info from all different drivers' perspectives. What do you 5er drivers prefer?
Cheers and TIA! |

I used to live in Coram for over 10 years and was never stopped for speeding on the Island. That being said, I did have a V1 or something else before that.
I used to open up a lot on 25 and 25A East of William Floyd Pkwy until Riverhead. William Floyd itself and Nichold Road seemed to be OK as well. Sunken Meadows/Sagtikos seemed to be fine too. Never tried to do so on the LIE [or its shoulders], Northern State or Sunrise hwy. I do wish there were more roads out there to experiment on, but I never really found any. Since moving off the Island though, our good friends have stopped me around 7-8 times. |
