3d style carbon fiber trunk spoiler! (JUST CAME IN! )

Got my bonus check and because the wife lol said "You just got the Meisterschaft exhaust!" I was able to order the spoiler too because my deformed Vorsteiner style spoiler was bugging the crap out of me! Here's how bad the fitment was and its been on there for 2 years.

Here's the 3d style for those not familiar with the design

Will post some pictures when I get it on!

I wouldn't be happy with the corner kick as it should be sitting flush with the surface. That just doesn't seem right.

you think it's because of the double-sided tape maybe too thick? i've been thinking about what else i can use to get the spoiler pretty flush on the trunk without any gaps? i'm wondering if there's automotive glue that's used for OEM spoilers and such?

The OEM glue is called Betalink. I used it on my CF spoiler with no gaps.
The downside is that it's stuck for good I think.

Any close up shots remmib of your trunk spoiler? Really interested on how flush yours is. I'll Google "Betalink" and see how to apply it. Appreciate the input!

I think the double sided tape is thick enough to cause just minimal gap issues but if I can get it flush that would be AWESOME!

I haven't tried with tape, but I assume it would be more difficult to get it that flat onto the surface.

well i did some searching on other forums regarding the Betalink and heard some pretty crazy horror stories. i thought about it and decided i'll just use the 3m tape as it gives me the option to remove it later on in case for whatever reasons i decide to sell the spoiler down the road

yes its the same.

i put my rear CF spoiler on with epoxy resin.

it isnt going anywhere.

Dude 3m works fine. You just gotta really press the corners and then use painters tape to hold them down for the tape to set up. I've done this with the last 3 spoilers I've put on my cars. About to do the same with the f30 I got recently. As soon as it warms up that is.
