Turn Signal Clicker Sound is Noisy

I have been looking all over the place of any info related to this issue, there is only one guy that made a post about it in 2015 with no replies.

My issue is that the turn signal clicking sound is a bit too noisy and clicky as compared to our 2015 3 series. It maybe due to wear and heat (here in summer it can reach up to 49 degrees C).

I am looking for any info that can help me reduce the clicking noise and revert it to new. Cuz currently it sounds like a 1995 corolla turn signal.

Not specific to F10 chassis, but maybe it can be coded to quieter?

The turn indicator “tone” is one of the acoustic sounds made by the instrument cluster.

Some of these sounds can be turned up or down on some versions of iDrive. Have you tried adjusting this parameter in iDrive to see if it tones down the VOL of your turn indicators?

I made a video of the cluster’s ACOUSTICS…and you can hear the turn indicators which are the last ones that you hear approx 36 seconds into the video:

Again, the car’s GONG volume can be adjusted…see the pics below for where it is located in iDrive (if you have ID4). See if adjusting your GONG will tone down your turn indicators:

FYI…I can answer my own question in the post above…the iDrive VOLUME adjustment for the GONG does NOT adjust the sound of the turn indicators…it only changes the sound of the GONG itself.
