Nice! Congrat man! How is the sound without downpipe? Is it much more different than Eisenmann Race? (sound level)

Trust me, the 550i will beat most anything on the road stock, I've beat two new corvettes already, speaking of that, you could have a 550i and a new basic vette for the price of an M-5, The M5 sure is much faster, but I cant really imagine where I'd use it that I couldnt do the same in my 550i, unless I lived in Germany. Still love the M5, but there is a huge price difference, and I dont believe in financing a car.

Did you also buy the poor man's meisterschaft (No exhaust valve adjustment)? With the valve closed, it really sounds like stock, she wont be able to tell.
Nice choice. |

When I first got into the car after having it install, I kinda thought....wow, that's it? I was expecting an earth-shattering rumble. I start to build up speed and I still didn't hear a ton of sound. THEN......I really stepped on the pedal and could hear the exhaust belt out. This may be the perfect exhaust for the F10. When you step on the gas relatively hard, it screams! Driving through downtown Dallas cracked me up. I could hear the sound bouncing off the walls of the buildings. However, this was because my windows were down. With the windows up, it would have been whisper quiet. I feel VERY good about my purchase. Highly recommend it for anyone that really wants to wake up their F10 series BMW. |

I wish I could answer that. However, I really need a video to hear it. It's engineered so well, that the noise in the cabin of the car is minimal. I keep trying to hear it, but it's hard to. I can honestly say that it's WAY better than before, when you couldn't hear any downshifts at all. According the the shop that installed it for me, all of the workers were freaking out when they heard it. So, to answer your question, I'm sure it sounds great.....you just kinda need to be out of the car to hear it.

Exhaust
I had an exhaust built locally for my 2012 550I. It looked and sounded great, however it drowned like crazy at lower RPM's inside the car.
I like to hear it outside, but don't want the drown inside..Any Thoughts..? |
