Dinan intake and intercooler install

Have a shiny new box of dinan intake and intercoolers to install into my 2013 bmw f10 550. Kudos to AutoTalent for a GREAT price and awesome customer service! If you want Dinan, Go to them!

Creating this thread to document the install process and seek any pointers from others who have done this work.

First thing you should know when buying the dinan intake kit is that you need to purchase the tool kit to go with it. It contains not only high quality tools, but also has the templates for marking the various parts of the intake system for installing.

The main problem you have off the bat is dinan instructions refer to bmw install and uninstall procedures from the factory service manual. Their tech support has sent a couple pdf files listed in their installation instructions, but there are references within those TIS pages to other items to be removed. Since bmw service manuals are not yet available on ebay for purchase, gathering all the documentation has been difficult.

As i get the various stages, i will make sure to include in my diy the pdf docs to have as reference.

You can go online and buy 1 day, 30 day or 1 year subscription to service manual, but i dont know if you can save or print those procedures from the site.

For now, any advice or tips will be appreciated.

Has anyone located a OEM TIS service manual for a 2013 BMW F10 550xi? Looking to install Dinan Intercoolers and Intake and make up a DIY, but can't locate the Service manual anywhere.

You can pay by the day at https://www.bmwtis.com/ which is $30.00 per day, but not sure if you are allowed to print out procedures.

If anyone has the PDF docs associated with Dinan Intake install and Intercooler install for BMW part removal/installation, I would appreciate any help.

I currently have:

...Mike
