ACS Springs Distributor?

Did some thread searches and seems like CEC is not the place to go for ACS springs (see here). Although I did contact them and they did say that they can get the springs to me, however it will be a 2-3 week lead time as they need to order it from Germany

I also contacted ACS themselves in Irvine, CA. Received a price for the ACS springs for the F10 535i back, but it seemed a bit on the higher side compared to what I've seen members get them for in the past ($450-500).

Posting to ask if you have purchased ACS springs, please reply with where I can find a set!

TIA

Tag motorsports in Escondido, CA. Checked all the places you listed in your post and Tag had the best price with the springs in stock.

Thanks! I'll give them a call tomorrow. A bit far from LA, but if they have in stock, hoping they will ship.

Just got a call from those guys they want 760.00 before shipping. Way to steep if you ask me, Going to give the Hartage a shot they come in at 460.00 delivered from Denmark at Schniderman. The drop is a hair more at 30MM over the acs at 25MM so a difference of about .18 not much.

My thoughts exactly in terms of price. Especially since I've seen members in the past getting these springs for ~$500 mark. Wondering why such a significant increase in the price.

I got mine from CEC out of Miami and was very happy with their service. They shipped to my home, but it did take a few weeks. I used that time to find a good installer. I don't have any other springs to compare to but the ride is great and it is a nice drop. Handling is excellent. I think mine were right at $500

CEC is no longer a distributor for ACS, they offered me H&R springs instead.

I tried ordering from AC Schnitzer USA which is really a reseller named "German Tuning Corporation" who wanted $800 shipped.

I ordered my ACS springs from Schmiedmann in Denmark for $628 shipped on March 2 and they were delivered on March 15.

Tag's quote included installation, which, as mentioned earlier, was the best deal that I could find in so cal.

760+ delivery was just for the springs, Schneiderman in Denmark was 650.00 delivered to us, just got quotes a few days ago, I went with hartage for 450.00 delivered will let you all know how they work out. Wanted acs but can't justify 200 more for just about the same spring. All are big time tuners of bmw I am sure they are very close.

I got mine from Schmiedmann back in October for $550, keep in mind DHL or Fedex will also send you a bill for $20 for the VAT taxes.

When you order make sure to put a note in for them to pack the springs in some wrap, mine were just tossed in a box and apparently banged around the entire way...no damage, just some dings.

Yea they said acs had a price increase hence the higher price now. The guy at schmiedmann had them side by side and said there almost identical that the hartage drop was a hair more, he also said both sets are outsourced to ebiach

I have been real dissapointed with the difficulty and price in obtaining ACS springs. If they want to sell their products, they need to get on the ball. I really really want ACS springs on my F10; however, I am not going to bend over backwards and give them business if they are not trying to earn mine. $500 should be the max price on springs. There is a lot of competiton on the market.

I hear you Big Deep, because you sound like myself questioning why I should drive all the way to San Diego from LA and spend $200-$300 more on these mythical acs springs that everyone keeps talking about. Well....found out there's a reason why everyone loves these springs. I had them installed 2 days ago with an alignment......well worth the effort and money. IMO best after market upgrade one can do for an f10. Not only is the car's handling dramatically improved (I already have ars, ddc, and ias), but it looks freakin' dope on the stock 19s now. The stock rims look so good flushed (not slammed) with the fenders, that I might save myself some $ and keep this setup. Actually, that might not be a bad idea since everybody and their mom are putting after market wheels on their f10, mine may become unique with the custom suspension and stock wheels lol. Who knows, give 6 months and I'll probably be ready to move to 20s.

Anyway, car feels new again and that fun to drive feeling is fresh again. And the cool thing is the ride comfort is still there. Comfort feels like stock sport, and comfort+ is now useable for those situations where you would use the stock comfort.

Pics to come.

Agreed, Worth doing. I though about saving some money and going with Dinan or something else but remember that the installation cost stays constant across all installs so you want to be happy and do this once.

Is contacting AC Schnitzer direct an option for purchasing a set of springs?:

Irvine (Newport Beach), CA,
USA

AC Schnitzer USA

1711 McGaw Avenue
phone: +1(949) 863-0015
Fax: +1(949) 863-1944

Also, I read recently that some where experiencing a loud "banging" noise on compression (front springs) where the top two coils of the spring where hitting each other. I understand that new springs come with plastic tubular covers over the top two coils of the spring to effectively eliminate this noise. Am I correct?

In ordering these, I want to make sure that this part is included or do I need to specify this in particular?

Thank you.

Correct but I used radiator hose (found at Home Depot) that is softer and my installer put it at both ends. Haven't heard a peep from my springs and I have been pretty aggressive in the few days I have had it installed

That is definitely an option to obtain a set of the ACS springs - although the price I was quoted I think is a bit steep for only springs.

with all the issues lately on getting a set of ACS springs.. I'm surprised no one has tried a set of the Eibachs.

My ride is a 2012 535i with sport a performance package. Is this all that I need to specify to receive the appropriate AC springs?

Are they the same springs regardless of which version of the 535i (non-m sport vs m sport) you have?

Hi Bulldog,

I actually called them and you can buy the springs directly from them for $610. It also doesn't matter if you have the M-sport or the regular suspension since they only make one set for the F10's.
