How light is your interior light pack!?
Looking at these images the interior light pack seems to be very bright...
Mine you can hardly see at all? What is your story https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=f1...5%3B1024%3B768 |

The car with the bright light has a light interior. I guess it's a big difference between how the interior lights looks in a car with black interior and light interior.

I have a black interior, too, and the lights are all but unnoticeable against the black leather doors. I believe my dash lights are up to full intensity. Shame... it looks nice on the light leather... but I'm a black leather kinda guy.

Barely notice in city traffic with many street lights. I have black interior. Notice more on country roads where pitch black.
Also some of this pictures are overexposed to enhance the brightness I assume. |

Is the only way to increase the brightness the dial in the lamp cluster that affects the dash lighting? Or is there any other setting? I thought I recalled seeing something about ambient lighting in the iDrive settings... but too lazy to check right now!

I can't see the photos you posted. However, it could be only a photography trick. If you decrease the shutter speed when taking the photo you'll get brighter lights. Also it os true that those lights are not seen on dark trims.

When I posted that the images appeared to match the intensity of my lighting, I should have qualified it by stating that I have light (Oyster) interior. Very similar to the first (upper left) image in the link.

Guys - FYI, from what I can tell from looking online (haven't gone out to the car to try it first-hand yet), the intensity of the ambient lighting supposedly can be changed in the iDirve. I seem to recall this now when playing with it - along with whether it's orange (classic) or white/blue (modern). I still don't believe it shows up well on dark leather, but the modern lighting scheme is also much brighter as orange/red is at the lower end of the color spectrum (doesn't appear as bright).

Have you also checked your iDrive settings for ambient lighting? I think mine is up to full brightness, but the black interior really does muffle it. Likewise, if you switch it to modern, it's more noticeable.

So the LCI got two ambient interior colors? My pre-lci only got the amber one.
