well. 331 is too similar to the 328 some people got for stock. and 312 is priced very close to 331. not a lot more. so i guess might as well get something that can stand out.

and as mlai said. we pay more on gas than on tires! we don't need to change tires that often and i am not looking at the max performance tires so not as expensive as you think.

the tire shop doesn't seem to care about my business tho. haha. still haven't called back.

Maybe we need to do a group buy to stir up their interest?

Which shop?

BTW, once you get to the 15K region of Max Perf Tires, they price difference is not that big. For 17K-18K you get a selection of Bridgestone/Pirelli P0/Michelin PS2 all at the same price range. You really sure you want Dunlops?

Maybe pay the shop a visit? Kinda hard for them to ignore if you are physically there and yelling at them.....

Juztinl have you made a deposit on your rims yet? Maybe the response will be better afterwards.

Time flies. But according to Einstein, at different speed

For example,
Before you order F10, time flies at speed of light, with you racing to lock-in an earlier production slot......

After you order F10, time flies at glider speed, no matter how much earlier you want it, it is still subject to the weather.....

no. i just don't think it's a good idea to pay the deposit without knowing the actual price. with the deposit paid, they can say whatever price they want for the tires and i will have no power whatsoever.

i will call them and make my intention clear tomorrow and hopefully will have my nice looking rims soon.

With the 20" rims, my major concern is the ultra thin profile of the rear tires. The 30 profile, I am afraid that it will be very harsh on bumpy roads of HK. Even worse for me, I will be driving on some extreme road surfaces due to my job nature therefore take away the cost difference I am still not so sure.

Since my car won't be here until Dec., I guess I would need you guys' feedback after your 20" road tests in HK before I pull my trigger.

With F35 n R30, I am doing pretty good with the Adaptive Drive. It's still soft and floaty on comfort, just a tad more bumpy in normal, and with Sport, I think I would like it to be a bit more firm still. So no worries about the 20s.

I will be back in mid Oct, if you want t test ride, drop me a note.

i think 30 profile tires means 30% of the width of the tire. and our rear tires on 20" are wide, i believe 275 or 285 so they should be similar in thickness to the front.
but if u do drive on extreme road surfaces it might not be a good idea after all.

That's right. And the thickness for front and rear would be around 82mm for 20" and 95mm for 19".
To be specific, sometimes I need to drive on unfinished road (i.e. no asphalt or concrete with gravel or soil only), my worry is I will cracked my 20".
Also, do you guys know how is parking over road curb for the the low profile tires? To be honest the thinnest tire I ever had is 50 and I like to do illegal park over curb all the time.
