Hey guys,

I've had the E-Tronic Tuner on my 2014 535D Xdrive for a few thousand miles now and I cannot believe how much better the car responds and overall power increase! Daily driving this car is great, but with the E-Tronic Tuner its that much better. I don't have an AWD dyno nearby but it definitely increased power throughout the entire rpm range. Plus my MPG has gone from 30.8 to 32.7 mpg's with spirited driving.

What I liked most about the E-Tronic Tuner was that it connects to the BOOST, CRANK & FUEL pressure sensors. Other diesel piggybacks only connect to the fuel pressure sensor.

The E-Tronic Tuner has multiple settings for power and sensitivity and comes with a connector to remove the box without having to unplug all the connectors.

Bill @ ESS was super nice and very helpful describing the product. Install was easy and instructions were very detailed.

Here's a few photos before I installed:

Is this for a U.S. 535d? The 255hp one?

Nice!
I wouldn't mind trading in my X3 for a 535D except these roads have me enjoying the extra clearance I have. Definitely would get one when I move down south someday.

I need to switch to Diesel asap better mpg and more fun than 4cyl/6cyl (Torque Monster)

I don't think they have it listed properly on their website. While in the US we have a "535d", our car is the 530d 258hp in Europe. The link you sent is listed as the 535d 299hp, which is only available in Europe, and not the version we have in the US. So either it's the right part listed incorrectly, or the wrong part...

I live in southwestern CT, my wife has an x3 and i have a 535d xdrive, no issues for either car and we drive around CT NY and NJ. Also just got back from a 1600+ mile road trip in the 535d and no issues... go for it...

Thx for the offer and in all honesty, I would bring my other car to the drag strip if I had the time to go. Not saying the diesel wouldn't "roll some coal" down the quarter mile, I really enjoy the TQ of the daily driving

But definitely post up some results of how you guys do!

I have an X5 35d and am looking at a 5 series diesel now. I have compiled a list of chips I was able to find, and posted it in the general discussion area a while back, and some of you might find it useful. There is also a duplicate thread in the X5 forum.

There are many chips out there, few make it to the States and they vary quite a bit in what they control. There is even an official BMW MPPK which US dealers are not allowed to install.

ESS escaped me as they don't list their chip as available for F15, with the same exact N57 engine. They should.
At any rate, for your consumption, here is the thread: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1088501

The thread has more detail, but here is a quick glance:
