Any n55 boost solenoid/pressure converter diy?
Anybody replaced their n55 boost solenoid/pressure converter before? Got it replaced about 6 months ago under warranty but now the buzzing is back and I'm out of my warranty period. Just ordered the new part and looking everywhere if there is any diy but couldn't find any. So here I am asking if any of you guys done it and what's the process and difficulty of doing it.

Hi , I replaced mine following a "powertrain malfunction" message. It's quite easy.
I'm not sure if you have located it. I guess you can follow the buzzing sound. It's fastened to the top cover of the engine to the left (looking from the front) very close to the suspension turret. ( You can follow the small ( ~8mm) pipe from the actual wastegate actuator on the turbo) Two retaining nuts , (the lower on is quite tricky due to access) ideally you need a deep socket (10mm I think) but then there is not room for the wrench for fit in the socket. I used pipe grips on the socket. Disconnect the electrical connector twist the vacuum pipes to free , then simply pull off. Reverse all of the above to re fit. . The new one I fitted had a different part number and looked a little different. ( The filter on the new one is bigger )
