Problem with M Performance Splitter

Hi Guys


Can anyone advise what the hell this white stuff is on my carbon splitter..

Notice this mark in the wk just thought it was dirt..Its just been cleaned and this white mark seems to be getting bigger

No idea but did you try using alittle car polish on it to see if it comes off?

Yes Alan ive tried polishing out but had no joy it looks like some sought of reaction on the carbon.

taking it to the dealer tomra as its only 6 months old im sure they will change it if they carnt get it off.

it looks like it's bad resin, not properly cured.

Is the vendor willing to look into it for you ? or you are out of luck ?

Yep spot on ive had someone round tonite who works with carbon fibre.

They have said its not properly been cured it will get bigger as time goes on..I bought it when I bought the car from BMW ...So they better change it.

Yup. it will de-laminate (per se) very quickly once the process starts.

That looks like it got little air bubbles in the CF get them to change the parts
