Front seat back cover (trim) removal
Anyone have a guide or can educate me as to what I need to do to remove the trim panel at the back of the front seats (F10 2015) - I am trying to route some cables down there from some DVD screens and as the car is only 1 day old I don't want to ruin it.
Thank you. |

Not tried to remove these, however this diagram might help... Looks like there is a hook at the bottom and a push in stud at the top. Good luck!

It's not super easy, and you need to be careful of the airbag on the outer side. Do a google translate of this page. Basically, you need to press on one side of those fasteners to get them to release.

Thanks but that doesn't seem to show the piece I was referring to. I was referring to the pocket in the back of the seat. The hinge on one side is broken

Broken Hinges of the map pocket
Hi,
Did any of you manage to fix this? I would be grateful if you could share your experience. Many thanks. |

It was easy on the pre LCI cars - a flatblade screwdriver pushed against the clip would release it and it'd pull off. But they seem to have redesigned the clip on the LCI and I can't get it off at all and I'm worried I'll break it if I keep fiddling...

I just wanted to confirm that the clips for the “seat back cover” are different on my LCI F10 (2014 535i x-drive m-sport without multi contour seats). In my case you have to remove the bottom two plastic fasteners (the ones with an exterior fasterner with an interior sliding shaft). Once you remove them you can remove pull out the bottom portion that has two downward facing clips behind the bottom portion of the back storage pocket. The the whole panel slides down and comes off. One of my seat back pockets is broken on both sides at the bottom. I know this is an old thread, but did anyone get anywhere on this? Looking on realOEM and getbmwparts, there doesn't seem to be a separate part for the pocket. As an added complication, I have the read seat entertainment center.
