At least on the US-spec car, you can drive off without the key, when the doors are closed.

I think this is a security issue, the car should not be able to move without the key inside it.

Something else did this, but cant recall it.
You can however, roll the car for a short distance, perhaps 20 feet, by keeping your foot on the brake and allowing the car to creep. the car will automatically shift to park when you take your feet of the brake.
