Question No Boost?

So I'm driving last night and notice that my car feels a little sluggish. I step on the gas and realize there's no boost (found myself leaning forward in anticipation of the push back in my seat that never came) Boost gauge verified that the engine never saw boost (peak recall was 0.00psi)

Car was fully warmed up, no lights on the dash or control messages, full throttle in 2nd and 3rd gear for at least 2-3 seconds each and nothing. I tried with DTC on and off, same result. Restarted the car and it went back to normal, couldn't replicate it this morning either.

Anyone else experience anything like this before???

Very strange......I would imagine the car would throw faults right away in a situation like that.

Keep us posted....

Perhaps loose or bad connectors? 'cos you said that you have a boost gauge...

Good thought, but no - the boost gauge is not mechanical (it's connected via OBD2 port) I haven't opened up the hood in a couple months.

I've never experienced limp mode myself, but it felt like the way people describe what happens when that occurs. However I didn't experience any lights on the dash or messages in iDrive.

I'll scan it with my BT cable when I get home tonight and see if there are any 'hidden' codes thrown.

Interesting range of faults reported. Maybe a failing battery is boogering things? Let us know if you have it in for work.

I would print that out and bring the car to the dealer. You don't want that crap to happen again. Any mods on the car?

Your F10 shows a wide range of fault codes found, as other had said before, could be due to faulty battery...

Only engine mod is dinan software, installed since 3 days after I took delivery in 2011.

Maybe, I did get the discharge warning over the winter but I bought a trickle charger and that seemed to do the trick. I haven't had any warnings since.

I think you might want to ask Dinan on the fault codes found on your car prior going to the stealer..

My dealer is also the shop that installed the Dinan software, so it's theirs to fix regardless.

I have a feeling that they are going to do the 'couldn't replicate the issue' thing, but it's probably worth bringing in for them to see the codes it threw anyway. Plus my front brakes are starting to make noise so I have another reason to go...
