Thank you Forum and everyone here. My F10 coded successfully.

Been long time reader of this forum.

Want to thank the forum and everyone for all the coding information (see http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=696777).

I have successfully coded my F10 with the following:

-seat belt disable
-4th button follow me home function
-close window by remote
-close window by comfort access
-fold mirror by remote and comfort
-window rolled up with door open
-different welcome lights
-close trunk by remote
-close trunk by inside key
-added M drive functions
-ability to turn on/off daytime driving light by drive
-Logic 7 sign
-dvd in motion
-dvd all area

Couple things that didn't work:
-add sport displays power and torque meters
-add digital tach (i have this option in settings, but cannot check it)
-add tire pressure and temp display
-fog light turn signals
-tv / online browser function (from f30)

If anyone in the Vancouver area that needs some direction on how to code their F10, let me know and I will try to give you a lead.

Now I have the E71 and R56 waiting for me code. If anyone has any tips or hints, please also let me know.

Thanks again.

Mike

$7 for obd 2 connector from eBay
$0 for cat 5 cable, I have couple laying around. I just cutted one end out and solder to the obd2.
$0 for solder as I have the gun and solder from past.
$2.24 for the resistor (5 in a pack and used 1 only). If anyone needs one, I will give it out for free.
$0 for laptop.

$0 for hours (many many hours of reading).

Total for me cost approx $10.

Good to know!
I always felt BMW should've included "close trunk with key" feature from factory.....

Can I motivate a member to build me a cable and ship it to a US address? All expense paid, of course.

Pretty impressive! I would like to do quite a few of those on my F10.

It is really easy to do. Only 6 solder points. Order obd2 connector from eBay. Use a regular rj45 cable and cut one end out. Solder the cut end to the obd2. Max 30 mins job.

Perfect, Darrko will take one, and I will take one. Can we get a group buy price?

I guess some of us just aren't that technically inclined, I don't even have a solder gun! I could give it a shot but I would really prefer that someone who knew what they were doing was the one preparing the cable.

Group buy doesn't sound like a bad idea
