Picked Up my 2011 535xi

Just picked up my 2011 535xi Space Gray/Beige. No pictures yet

Non-Sport - No dynamic packages

Nav
Multi-Contour Seats
Park Distance Control
Rear-view Camera
Top View Camera
Premium 1
Cold Weather Pkg
Dark Wood
Sat Radio
iPod/USB

Oct 9th production

Initial observations:

Steering firmer than several demos 535i I had driven including on center. No wandering. No pull right. Tracks perfectly.

Don't know if because it's 535xi. Have received conflicting info from two different BMW factory techs in NJ whether xi cars are all hydraulic, or also electric assisted as standard 535i. Whatever, steering is better than demo 535i I had previously driven. No pull right. Tracks perfectly.

Standard steering wheel thinner than my E60. Europe has option to order sport steering wheel without sport package. USA cannot.

Center console wider than E60, less leg room.

Standard radio superior to standard radio in my E60.

Ride for some reason, even though same Goodyear LS2 Run Flats seems better than other 535i demos, which also had low miles.

In regards to both ride an noise, As good as my E60 which had 17" Continentals.

If I had choice as in Europe, I would likely have order with non - run flats.

The dark wood seems darker than I thought it would be. With anthracite you can see grain in wood. My dark wood almost looks like gloss ebony color. In sun light up close you can see some grain. Would have preferred slightly lighter.

Never noticed windshield reflections from my dash on my E60, until some on board were critical of reflections on F10. I looked and could definitely see reflections on my E60. Only difference is slightly more noticeable on F10.

In Midwest USA. Hope I can get by winter without snow tires for stopping. Don't hear good thing in this regard for the Goodyear LS2.

Congrats! Glad to hear the good feedback and reviews, and that she's without any of the more common issues.

Be sure to post up some of her pics in the official space gray photos thread (http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=366814) when you get a chance.

Enjoy!
