He said my box dimensions were perfect and all he could offer was to make a bigger box or try smaller subs like 12's or 10's. I read all the reviews on these subs before I bought them and everyone said they sound great, but none of them were running them in a sealed box. I'll report back after I change up the box.

Can't wait for you to install them. I read somewhere that the MBQuarts weren't impressive and ended up replacing them. I almost went with them because they included the underseat subs. Maybe Focals or Hertz?

The reasons why are very simple, if you face your sub towards the rear of the trunk your probably going to be popping the gas door open (it took little to no effort for me to) and it will rattle your trunk ghetto style. If you face them into the back seat you will not get good sound and it will still rattle your trunk and possibly pop the fuel door. Without having something to relieve the pressure from the subs you will have issues, but hopefully not.

Do you have pics of the finished product of your ski-hole retrofit? I'd really like to avoid cutting into the back seat unless I can get it to look good.

Got me thinking on the way home from the gym last night that I'll probably just build my own box again. I've built one for my Integra and the wife's false floor enclosure in her Accord. I'm no expert but I did have both builds displayed in car shows way back than. I actually worked with a guy who worked for JL building boxes so he helped me with dimensions, specs and alot of do's and don'ts. With the BMW I figured I'll just pay a shop to do it but when they quote me $500 bucks for a box I'm like " Damn really?" I have all my tools still all I need is a 3/4" mdf from Home Depot. Ill have to take some measurements in the trunk and see what the spec requirements are for dual 12" JLW3's in a sealed encloser.

Teddy you said you found out your car has a 230 amp alternator. From what I gather, my 528 has either a 190 amp alt or 210 amp alt. would this be sufficient enough to power two batteries similar to your setup? Might even get the same 2nd battery as you
