Vinyl Roof on Graphite car?
Trying to decide if i should vinyl wrap the roof of my 535i which is dark graphite metallic. Id either go with matte black vinyl or carbon fiber.
comments would be appreciated. |

Depends on your overall target theme, but I'd go carbon. I have the sophisto, and I think it'd look good. The carbon would compliment the fleck in the paint.
Sorry, just saw your avatar. Yep, go the carbon. |

If you're going to add CF spoilers and lips, then go CF (otherwise, Matt Blk). There are many tint shops that will do this. Just buy your material (I recommend 3M), then bring it by a tint shop that does clear bras. It's the same process as laying on clear bras, if not easier since a car's roof is flat (unlike the front end).

yeah, I actually got a quote around the same price. But the shop advise me to just get the whole car re-painted. He said no matter how good the wrapping is, it will peel in a couple of years and can rip from the rocks and other things hitting it.

I just got my roof wrapped in gloss black and my car is Space Grey.
Honestly you could barely tell when you are looking at the car from the ground. It would be even less noticeable for your color since it is already so dark. The only time it looks good is when you are looking down at your car from a elevated place which isn't very often. On the road nobody is going to even tell the roof is wrapped. Not worth the trouble if you ask me. Alan
