Picked up a roof rack for my F10... I have searched for installation instructions for this type of mounting bolt and have found nothing... Does anyone have a pdf of the installation instructions or if you have the same rack can you post pics. I am guessing it bolts in the way I have assembled the bolt in the pics...

Those look correct but there should be a little O-ring on the bolt that holds that piece onto the threads. They just bolt right through the rack into the roof holes. You turn the plastic screw with your hand and snug it then flip up the other piece so it fits underneath the plastic section with the lock.

The plastic clips are just to protect that area on the roof slots so it isn't metal on metal.

If I could find my instructions I'd scan and post them. IIRC, the install is pretty simple...

Use the supplied bolt to clean out the threads.
Loosen the cross-member bolts with the supplied allen wrench.
Lift the "tabs" on the roof rails.
Put the rack on the car and adjust the width. BE CAREFUL TO NOT SCRATCH THE PAINT!!!!!!!!!!!
Once the width is adjusted tighten the bolts.
I had to use a 10mm open-end to tighten the rack bolts as the thumb-screws were a bit tight.

There are a couple of YouTube installation videos, but they aren't of an F10. They should at least give you an idea of how it's done. I'll look for the instructions...

Thanks. How about the plastic gutter protectors? I see how to install but they have a piece on the top that would prevent you from closing the gutters if the rack is not mounted.

That tab just breaks off. We have 2 F10's and I purchased 1 rack as it will fit both cars. I only got one set of the plastic pieces, which I put on my car, but used the rack on my wife's car to get our Christmas tree home. I saw no ill effects of not having the plastic pieces.

Thanks, got it installed today. I also needed a wrench to fully tighten the thumb screws.

does anyone know where i can find the screw or bolt to bolt the crossbars onto the roof im missing one bolt i brought the crossbars and the bike rackon OfferUp for 120 the its just missing one bolt of if i can ride with just three bolts? someone help me i wanna post the pics for you guys to se my F10 build
