OO sorry
I would not go for both.

Thanks, but i doubt i will order it from the US..wayy too bothered to go through the whole waiting process than picking it up than transporting it to some tire shop..might as well just buy the tires here at least..

on another note, was at the peak yesterday for lunch and in the parking lot were 4-5 BMW F10's...they are getting more and more popular! But seems noone has white..how come.

Could be that white color tends to exhibit yellow tint after certain age due to UV exposure from sunlight........

AsiaKid, what color is your 528i?

I think ppl knows white in HK is not a good colour to get because it turns yellow very fast in the hot UV heat.

as for tyre I will always get from US, the tyres will be new and will have this year number on them unlike HK which are 2010 tyres. also I saved over 50% on tyres and that included shipping and installing.

mine is the sophisto grey....which is a very nice color..but i still think hard to mod for when it comes to color scheme. Because its this middle color that makes it hard to mod it..i feel like the color is veyr elegant....but not sure if sporty is the right word for it.

So most people who go for white will go for pearl white, but that has another set of problems

I don't think BMW offers pearl white on any of their cars..... yet

I am always tempted to order tires from US. But counting shipping, I see difference of only around 15%. For that,i wouldn't mind giving some business to my tyre shop to maintain some relationsihip, so that they are more responsive to me when I go there.

Nickel and dime everything does not do anybody any good in the long run.

But that's just me.

PS. If it is something that I can't get locally, that's an exception.

I don't think so, if it's the case everyone will get tires on-line. Also I will never get water-good tires...

I know what you mean.
for some colour no matter how much you mod it, it will still not look as sporty as the sport colour which I think are Black, White, Red and silver.
It was hard for my car too to mod it to look good. like have silver wheels just don't look right with the colour that I have. Has to be gunmetal or hyper black but not black.

Actually, matte silver is not that mk. I seen a matte black Continental GT where I park at the office and I wouldn't call that MK by a long shot

My RE11 are only half the price compare to HK which is a rip off.
for set of 4 in hk it is $15200hkd
I payed $9906hkd but it came with the rims so it was free shipping

What size?

You could really be getting ripped off even by HK standards

But then, shipping for the tyres alone I can only find about USD125-150 EACH TIRE. That sort of puts me off.

Maybe you can point me to where you can ship tyres cheaper

RE11 dose not matter if they are water goods or not they are all made in Japan.
also hong goods they will not change the tyre for you if you have a air bubble
but the 1s in US will change them for free.
so for Bridgestone it is better to get from US
HK Bridgestone is ripping ppl off not the tyre shops.

I went to Bridgestone HK and ask them for a quote too and they were 2k more than the shop which is about right.
