2011 BMW 550iX M Sport - Fan running after cars off for a long time?! Normal?

So I drove into work this am and noticed my fan stayed on after cutting the car off, this is normal as its cooling the car down but 15 mins later it was still on. Is this normal for such a long time for the fan to be on? I read somewhere that after the CCP was performed this stopped because this was one of the issues it addressed or something. Had the CCP completed by BMW a month ago.

If you have warranty then don't worry. Depends on a variety of factors including how long, hard and fast you drove the car. As well as the outside temperature and whether you were in heavy traffic today. Admittedly 15 minutes is a long time. Check your coolant and oil levels.

Well with above in mind keep an eye out over the next week to see whether this occurs again. Try to drive moderately. . I know it isn't easy

One of the problems with the N63 design is the placement of the turbocharger, which allows it to get extremely hot and take a long time to fan cool. This in turn shortens the life of the battery which prompted the service bulletin to change the battery at each oil change.
