Great spec and the best colour, I hope you love it. The 3.0 diesel is a superb engine with a great balance of refinement power and economy and IMHO suits the car perfectly, let us know what you think when it arrives.

Wow! That's going to be one hell of a car.

This is what I have on order, a lot lighter on the options list, but I had a budget so tight that I was lucky to get a 5 series rather than a 3 series!

F10 520d SE Saloon N47 2.0 Black Sapphire
Venetian Beige Dakota Leather
Media package - BMW Professional
609 Navigation system-BMW Professional
Multimedia
6AK BMW Online Services
6AM Real Time Traffic Information
6AN Information Plus
6AP Remote Services 6NR BMW Apps interface
Automatic Gearbox
Model designation deletion
Reversing Assist camera
Lumbar support, driver and front pass.
12V power sockets
LED foglights, front
Active Cruise Control with "Stop and Go" function
Enhanced Bluetooth telephone preparation w/ USB audio interface & voice Control

I know in comparison it's a bit poor on the spec but I know I'll be when I get it!

Great cars guys!

Now the configurator is up am thinking about changing to the 530d M Sport. Essentially same price but different exterior look and different wheels. Ride would be same with adaptive drive. Decisions decisions!

Excellent specification, now the wait.

If you are like me, then Adaptive Drive will be one of the best features of the car. The more I live with it the more I like how it sorts the ride and handling.

I posted this observation in another discussion, just this week, on some of the subtle ways it works.

.... I do believe we need to know what we want from an active system, and does it deliver? I still marvel at my car and the Adaptive Drive characteristics. Just this morning I was in hilly terrain with a lot of undulating contours, it is the way the rear end damps in response to the changes, flattens the car and controls the compression/rebound as no passive system could running a soft setting. Almost magic carpet, but controlled, even on some strange undulations.

Also running say 'normal' mode you sense the suspension tighten up at speed, but when trundling along at something like 45mph with the traffic flow, the whole system softens down and you have refinement you'd never have on any passive system that also controls a car body at speed. The working envelope is so much wider and allows more refinement, without any compromises to primary ride quality when you start working the car hard.
