2 different brake pads for 2011 depending on build date

Hoping someone could help me understand if there are any difference in brake pads for early build of 2011 535i’s. My car is a 2010/10 build date, and usually when I order brake pads I just order for 2011 and never had issues. I’m looking at changing my pads to another type, and I see that couple companies now have different part number for f10 built prior to 2010/11. Anyone know if there are any difference in pad fit? Amazon Canada has the model for built after 2010/11 and I’m thinking these should fit.

Just checking on realoem and see same part number for brake pads for all 535i’s from 2010-2016. So bit confusing why some vendors have different part number for early built 535i’s.

I would call those companies. I had the same situation on my 2011 when I ordered brakes from R1 Concepts, their website said aluminum hat rotor or cast hat rotor and when I called them they had no idea why it was like that and I got the right set

I was dealing with powerstop as their prices were great for the front kit. I was thinking this time around I would try out slotted/cross drilled with some Oep pads they sold. However after having multiple email exchanges, I lost confidence in their support. Still don’t have an answer to my question. It’s very unfortunate...

I ended up just ordering the same set I always ordered, Zimmermans with some Textar pads, can’t go wrong with that set.

Im sure powerstop sells great products, however just didn’t get confidence about the support I would get If I ever have issues or warranty concerns. I’m reading a lot of positive feedback regarding R1 concepts, so I’m thinking for my next set I will try them out instead.
