Who Needs Dinan Shockware?
I have a 2011 Dinan Stage 2 550i with ACS springs and have been putting off getting a software update for a battery drain warning because it will delete my Dinan software which I have to have installed a good distance away.
I decided I couldn't take the interior lights not coming on anymore so I had the software update for a TS bulletin which said that the auxillary fan which cools the engine was staying on too long after the ignition was turned off, thus killing the battery. Anyway, there must have been some kind of software update for the DDC. My suspension now on sport is amazingly firmer. The normal is now the stiffness of the sport before. I haven't had a software update is I bought the car in Nov. '10. Who needs the $800 Dinan shockware when you can get a software upgrade FREE? |

Just had my car in for service this past Wed. There has been no DDC update for the 550i that BMW has put out according to my service adviser. Maybe when resetting your car your settings were reset and now are now working properly since your battery drain update warning.
Most of those who have gotten the Shockware upgrade have noticed a very discernible difference across the board in their cars. Almost night and day for the most part.
