Should I change my oil?
Greetings,
I work in Afghanistan and haven't been home to drive my car since June. My father may have driven in 30-40 miles at the most. Should I be concerned with changing my oil when I get home next month? Furthermore, are there any other maintenance issues that I should be concerned with after the car has set so long? Car was given an oil change last time I was home in June at the dealership.

You should be good. With low mileage, you should change your oil at least once per year.

You should take your car for a long ride (you will probably want to anyway) and get all the fluids up to operating temperature. Probably a good idea to fill up the tank with as much new fuel as you can as well. Otherwise you should be good to go with the same oil.

I agree with other posters, that you should either use a gasoline drying additive before filling the tank up to dry out any water that might have accumulated in the tank. Also, you may want to check the air in the tires again and reset your TPMS after you have done so. Regarding the oil change, unless you have the car parked in a dust-prone neighborhood or sitting outside all the time, you should be fine.
