BMS Oil Cooler Valve

Anyone running the BMS Oil Cooler Valve? With how hot it is here in the southeast I wonder if its not a bad idea.

Probably would grab the anodized cooler cap as well for some engine bling.

I've heard mixed opinions on them from good BMW mechanics. I would be interested in hearing someone's personal experience too.
