Vinyl wrap the chrome bits

Decided to buy some Matt black vinyl wrap from EBay for £3 to cover the chrome parts. What do you think?

I am also tempted to get the wing mirror tops painted gloss black to match the rest of the shadow line trim

The bottom photo is of the wing mirrors wrapped in black gloss just to get an idea what it would look like

Looks good.

The 'sport' spec on the 3 series comes with gloss black mirror caps, and looks quite good too.

Why do you want to paint the mirrors if you have wrapped them?

I do have mine painted gloss black though....

Here's some pics that I managed to find, not the best quality but should give you something to go by... Obviously more contrast on my car because it's white

Looks good, black and white are a really good contrast.

Thanks for putting the pics up.

OP - not my thing, but I think the wrapped mirror looks great so painted should be even better.

Poll and my view aside, think you should just go with what ever makes you happy.

I normally don't like chrome, but as I also have a dark coloured car, I think the chrome is a nice contrast on mine.

Side markers would look better in body colour in my opinion, but, the wing mirrors look great wrapped so probably even better painted..

As an alternative option, how about going carbon to match your interior trim?

Something like this? http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/9...xoCtGQQAvD_BwE

Or is that something more for the F3x crew

Very nice looking car.

I have a similar looking car and I am looking to do something similar to what you have done e.g. Matt Black roof and bootlip fender, M Performance side decals and smoke colour alloys not too dark

My car is Alpine white with red/burgundy leather interior. Looks like we may have similar specs as I can see from your door handles you have comfort access which mine has as well. Did u get the wrapping, front bumper lip and decals done at the same place?

I only wrapped the door handle silver inserts and chrome bits on the wing in the end.

Was it easy enough to do? With the curves/contours...

Would a heat gun be overkill and best to use a hairdryer? Can see myself melting the mirror cap

Cheers

Used a hair dryer mate, easy to do but the wing mirror was a pain and it looked pretty bad so pulled it off.
