Today I got a 2016 528 xdrive to replace my 2012 528 xdrive while its in for recall and service work. Both non sport suspension. The car drives nice and tight as a new car should, noticeable different than mine. What do I need to do to my car or change to make it drive new again?

That is probably mostly suspension related. I would say depending on your mileage, look at replacing components like the dampers, control arms, etc. etc. Walnut blasting can help with regaining some lost power from carbon build-up in the engine.

Probably your suspension has gone through normal wear and tear? Changing out the shocks should improve handling.

Maybe look into some performance shocks!

Look into Bilstein shocks. You can order them from Bav Auto. Ifyou want to go for performance oriented springs, I would recommend AC Schnitzer. The drop is not as much as H&R, but it gives you a firmer ride than stock, but doesn't make your car look too "aftermarket"
