Extended Maintenance on CPO

Hi all,

Just curious what everyone thinks on extending the maintenance when buying CPO. The dealer wants about $2,300 for an extra 2 years (same as CPO warranty). Seems a bit much to me, but thought I'd ask everyones opinion. Thanks

Anyone know what a brake service costs for these cars?

Depends what brake service. For the F10:

Front brake service (pads and sensors only) : $200
w/ rotors : $900

It really depends on how many miles you put on your car to see the value in 2 years for the return on investment. If you barely drive 10k miles year then you may never need to have the car serviced for brakes, oil, etc. more than once in 2 years.

You gotta look at the service intervals on the Idrive for each service item and ask yourself (you can answer too lol) how many times will you need to have each item serviced within 2 years.

I would pass.

That's way too steep. If you did an oil change per year and a brake service, you'd still be ahead.

Agreed. I'm going to pass. Too much and brakes will be done this year (still have one year).

I would pass, its not worth it unless you need major services every 15-30k, ie think back to the M3 cars that needed valve adjustments, etc.
