NA high revving engines won't pass emissions and are not fuel efficient. Just look @ current M3 and M5 engines
Turbos = torque, fuel economy and tuning potential.. V8TT gets my vote!

proper manual and automatic are both slower than MDCT

Same engine as the X5M.. sounds like a V8TT...

However we have absolutely no proof at all this is the next M5... so until BMW comes out and says it I don't believe it.

Is that a Blow off that I hear @ 1:53 ? Wouldn't know if its a BOV or DV, but it sounds like something. (Sounds like something? WTH is wrong with me, I'm sure you guys get it)

I think it's gunna be funny to hear modded M5's sneezing everytime they let off the gas when on boost.

M cars should be NA and lightweight, not a giant boat with tons of power.

Some people on here are just too stupid to understand that speed isn't everything.

looks like two different test cars...one has headlights with angel eyes one just has some random lights. One has actual tail lights one just has random ones

the bumper that looks relativly like the e9x m3 bumper is on the one with what may be actual headlights and tail lights and the other has all the ports covered up...

is this just two videos stitched together

also, TT V8 is fine in the SUV but i vote higher revving v10 with KERS, drop a decent amount of weight and make the thing handle like a dream

Well since most everyone else is raining on the parade.....

- Looks very floaty.
- Exhaust? "is this thing on?"
- Belches smoke out the exhaust on the downshift at 2:02

I will take the E63 in this category. Now that's music!

[u2b]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wp09oRabPQs&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wp09oRabPQs&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/u2b]

Guys -- AMG worked not just the engine but the suspension on the new E63. It's going to be very good.

The sound is a bit uninspiring - highly likely it has turbos with resulting throttling of the sound. E60 M5 at high revs sounds beautiful.

Hope thats not the final suspension tune. Looks a bit floaty and clumsy in the corners.

The final product however will most likely be a beast and find many homes.

Looks like a Hyundai and sounds like a red-neck domestic v8 truck with stupid loud exhaust...

no thanks, I live in the "county" and dislike the sound of body-lifted (what a joke) straight-piped domestic trash...

/rant

First thought: Maybe the resale of the e60 M5's will drop...

Second thought: I'd still prefer an e90 M3...

I love the V10. But this does sound good and expect there'll be some nice chassis tuning - going to be faster.

But will it come in a 3 pedal manual? I doubt it.
