Usual disclaimers: I'm not an employee or a salesperson for Bimmer-Tech or La Jolla Audio Repair, but I am a customer of each.
My car did not come with reverse camera so I shopped around and found Bimmer-Tech's product. I ended up choosing the "Rear View Camera Retrofit (OEM integration)" kit which includes the remote coding to make everything work. http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...em-integration The purchase process was painless. The package arrived from Poland within a week. The installation instructions looked reasonable, so I started in the trunk, got the camera installed, and realized that I had neither the time nor the tools nor the expertise to complete the job. I found, by referral, that La Jolla Audio Repair might be capable of helping me finish the job and they did, perfectly. Everything works right, and the result is exactly what I'd hoped it would be. Bimmer-Tech was professional and helpful, even when I got frustrated at the stutter start, and their remote coding service was excellent. La Jolla Audio Repair finished the job within a few hours of getting started, and all trim and panels are back where they belong which is more than I would have been certain of doing on my own. The camera image is highly detailed and fully adjustable for brightness and contrast so for me this kit has delivered the same image quality that I see in factory-equipped rear view cars. The moral of this story is that for San Diego owners considering a Bimmer-Tech after-market product, if you can't do the install yourself, or decide against DIY, La Jolla Audio is a great alternative to an all-or-nothing project.

As a follow-up, I wanted some information about my rear-view camera and I sent an email to Patryk and received a prompt and professional reply even on a weekend. It's nice to know that this company stands behind its promise and product.

The system works perfectly and has not degraded in any way in the year since I had it installed. I could not have done the install myself, but I am happy with the cost of the partial DIY effort.
