What type of wood is the Antrhcite wood?

I have Antracite wood in my 550i M-Sport, does anyone know what kind of wood it is? Is it maple or walnut or what?

The wood in that picture looks like walnut. The dark wood trim with the burl grain is walnut burl and the anthracite wood with the fine-line grain is bamboo.

Considering it's called "Fineline Anthracite" my bet is it's engineered/reconstituted wood. It's basically layers of dyed wood pressed, glued and sliced to get the desired appearance.

Here's an example of fineline veneers: http://www.designholz.com/SaRaiFo-Fi...02d8ad127884e4
