AFE Magnum Force Intake

Hey Guys,
So I finished installing my AFE intake on my '14 535i on Sunday. No issues Monday or Tuesday while driving (put on 250miles). I went out today and the check engine light turned on.

Anybody have this issue?

Can't really help you without knowing what codes are setting off the check engine light. Could you get those please? Could be completely unrelated to the intake

double-check the install, clean the sensors and delete the codes. If it comes back, post the codes

... Yup I agree.. make sure you didn't pinch a connection... and clean your MAF.. and that the plug is secure into socket

Thanks for the advice guys. Everything was reinforced..

Same code: P0171 generic system too lean bank 1...

Thoughts?

*edit: OK - stupid me... did a quick google search on the fault code.. so, it says there's an air leak... so, on the AFE intake, there is this flexible plastic piece that you have to push in on the side of the intake.. it's rubbery and I don't think the seal is tight. I'm guessing that's throwing the code... anybody with this intake have issues with that separate rubber piece? I thought it would "snap" right in, but it's definitely does not.

... Sounds like somone allready told you to see if you pinched a connection..lol.. I had a similar issue with a different intake.. you got it all sorted out now?
