ESS Flash Tuning for N63's

I gave ESS Tuning a call yesterday and was pleasantly surprised they have successfully been flash tuning N63 550's for a few months now. The gentleman I spoke to was very knowledgeable on the subject and had great news for me including the ability to turn of post cat codes! This is great news someone state side has it all figured out. He said it's about a 48hr turn around once shipping your DME's. Nevertheless I'll be prepared to do so in the next month (gotta recoup after my new bumpers!)

Shock that they haven't advertised on the boards yet and it's not advertised on their site either. Fenixmike was going into ess for a flash but all they could muster was a piggyback tune that pumped out as much power as a bms stage 1.

I'm hoping for a viable flash tune for the n63. Looking forward to how things work out for you!

Dinan uses a fancy piggy back, but unlike most simple ones, it intercepts every wire and plugs in line with the ECU.

ESS is able to do my N63 but it requires the replacement of the ECU and its a one time tune only, so im going to wait until I get downpipes and figure out if im doing turbos or just getting a newer N63tu/ used M4/M5 next year. He did say mine was a very early 2011 which had the 2010 ECU still so it may vary year to year.

Give them a shout... they are able to do complete custom tunes for the older N63's. It just requires your vehicle or the DME's. Like I mentioned before they can even ignore trouble codes like rear 02's inefficiency.

I don't think so. Maybe on the TU motor, but the Dinan tune on the N63 is not a piggy back.

So why is it that other tuners can't flash tune if Dinan is able to? I'm looking to get more power but I don't want a piggy back and Dinan doesn't cut it for me anymore.
