BMS Stage 2 use as Stage 1?

I have a BMS Stage 2, got a too good deal on it to pass it up.
I've seen this posted before.
It might be obvious for you guys, but can you please confirm?

You can use this as a stage 1 if you don't want to open up your ECU, which is what I did (I had a BMW warranty on my car and also found the Stage1 to be more than powerful enough!). I used insulation tape on the ECU pins and tucked them under the tuning box.
This is for a N63, and I'm not really comfortable to mess with the ECU (for now at least). It'd be perfect if I could just use it as a Stage 1, and later might be hook it up to the ECU to mess with Stage 2.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can use stage 2 as a stage 1. Don't connect the wires into the ecu box but connect the rest.

Id keep the stage 2 and just use it as a stage 1 until you get more mods or when you feel comfortable going into the ecu..

Just installed my stage 1 and it pulls like a freight train.. I personally won't need more power than this for a daily

You can use it as a stage 1 but i would contact Burger Tuning technical support first .. Never know what a new firmware update might change
