I have no idea what the difference other than the Mercedes spec tire has 1 or 2 32's deeper tread and is 0.6 of pound lighter. At least according to the Michelin website. You can tell by the MO designation on the tire sidewall.

I don't know the actual difference of the tires. But in this case there's MO stamped on the sidewall telling me it's a Mercedes spec tire.
BMW spec tires has a star stamped in them.
