Great. I saw these on some site for $6 (on discount) and did not pull trigger cause I was not sure if and which pattern with which to go. Then they went up to $40.

Still have not bought, but found numerous under $10 options on Ebay with predetermined colors/ patterns (carbon fiber, chrome, camo, etc) as well as options to write seller after purchase with desired combo.

The machine work on those aluminum emblems looks sloppy and not very clean. I like the ones I got from jbspeed, they are cheap plastic just like the stock ones, but in silver and black carbon fiber. I think of them as something to change out like tires or an air filter, once they start to fade or crack I'll peal that shit off and get new ones. I tried to find ceramic but couldn't find our size or the color I wanted. The only good thing about the jbspeed emblems is they guarantee they won't turn yellow or he'll send another set for free, mine have been on for a year in the Las Vegas heat and no issues. Stay away from the $10 emblems from eBay or Amazon, they turn yellow within 30-60 days.

The emblem looks off center in this pic but it's just the shadow effect.

I cannot specifically speak for the quality of the ones I linked. I was not facing Northeast weather or salts, but I did many Vegas summers and I did not have any signs of wear on OEM emblem in 3 years.
A guarantee on replacements, like the phone screen protectors is nice, but so a low price to change out as needed. I would hope though that a less expensive alternative did not also turn out to be cheaply made, lasting less than 2 months.

I personally never used the cheap $10 ones from eBay or Amazon but the bad reviews speak for them selfs, sorry if I lead anyone to believe I tried them. When I spoke to jbspeed my only concern was the yellowing and he told me his are better quality and guaranteed me they don't turn yellow or he'll send me another set at no charge. So far so good, I gave them a good look this morning and they look like they did the day I put them on. I park my car outside so the yellowing was gonna be an issue if I had to change them every 30-60 days but I'm good if they last 2-3 years before I need to change them. We'll see. If those aluminum emblems had better machining and were highly polished I might consider them but I know too much about cad and cnc machines and they could have done better, that's all I'm sayin. No offense to the OP.

I had the factory emblem on my old E36 M3 track car fly off. I was thinking of just making a complete sticker/decal replacement for it instead of getting a new one from the dealer for $50, haha.

I just ordered the CF emblem set from JBspeed, will update once I receive them and check the quality. He offers gloss black as well for like $85 to replace all 7 roundels on the car

I have the CF inserts with the clear emblem cover on top. Looks a lot better in person.
