Help with M Performance Diffuser Clips and "O" Ring

Posted this on Bimmerfest and thought I would solicit help here as well.

I just received my M Performance Diffuser and there were no instructions. Everything looks straight forward except for the clips and "O" ring that came with it.

Can someone who installed and utilized these clips and "o" ring please explain how.

I understand the diffuser tabs would be pushed through the clips but how are the clips attached? The front and back of the clips are different.
Also how is the "O" ring utilized. Do you use some sort "O" ring adhesive (non supplied) or do the clips or a groove hold the "O" ring in place? Also how is the "O" ring actually strung around the diffuser?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Below is a pic of the clips and "O" ring. Also below is the rear of the M Performance Diffuser. From what I can gather, the 6 clips are used for the 3 large tabs on either end.

I saw you PM, so I gonna answer here.

I don't know what the rubber "o" ring is for, but it might be for covering up the grooves in the diffuser if you want to paint it.

I didn't use the clips, but I might should have since it's a tiny bit loose at one end.

Interesting. I got a call into the dealership to see if they can shed any light on the o-ring and clips.

Ya mine is a tad loose at one end as well. Mine is the passenger side.

Thanks again. If I find out anything I'll let you know.

Just put on two of the clips onto the tabs where it was loose and that solved the problem.
