Hey guys, a little help here would be really appreciated, I bought a pair of blinking led turn signals from a site, i tried to change them but no luck. I have disassembled every mirrors plastic items and im stuck at the last part were the wire goes in a hole and i cant figure out how to remove that thing (its the mechanism of the folding mirrors i assume) see attachment image!!!

Those wires are the ones that power up the turn signal, you need to splice both wires and connect them to your new turn signals, if your new turn signals come with some kind of connections you'll need to splice them up and connect the 2 wires from the turn signal to the wires from your side mirror unit

If you don't want to splice the wires, you have to disconnect + connect through the door panel area.

At least that's what my shop does (and they specialize in BMWs).

Did you go with solid or sequential turn signals?

They aren't plug and play, I have the same setup and needed to splice up the cables when installing them, there's no option !

My shop opened up the door panel and didn't have to splice them.

He bought the sequential blinkers from eBay.

Open the door and dismantle the door panel vs splicing 2 wires it's a no brainer ! I would go with the wire splicing 100 times

Took my shop under an hour to do both turn signals, so I digress. ^^

It's not a time thing, it's a practical thing and I prefer to leave my door panels intact vs splicing 2 wires.
