Looking for some help...

Hey Guys, I'm looking for some help. I'm not having much luck on the 6 Series Forum, so I thought I'd try here. I currently have a 2013 650i. I'm having catless dps installed on monday and a stage 2 tune done on Wednesday. The question I have is; do I need new spark plugs for a stage 2 tune? I would assume they are the original plugs seeing the car only has 45k miles. The shop is recommending them but want to charge $546 for new spark plugs & install. It seems a expensive to me or is this just part of the tune

Thanks for the help

I've read here as well as YouTube videos and this is across all BMW platforms plugs and coils are usually recommended to be replaced when doing a tune

Yes I would recommend new spark plugs after a tune. I would recommend watching some YouTube videos and doing it yourself if you want to save some money

You should do 2 step colder plugs gapped to 0.020 but that price is ridiculously expensive. buy the plugs from BMS, gap them and put them in yourself. It's about an hour of work. Or ask an Indy shop. As far as the coils go, get the Eldor coils. You will feel all the difference.

I've done all this as I also have a modified N63.
