Guys,

Does the new 2.0d engine in the 520d require Adblue?

Does the current 3d and 35d engines also require it?

If so I'm seriously temped to go back to petrol when i choose my new car in the next quarter....it seems a a bit of a ball ache from what i have read online both in terms of cost and frequency of topping up

Cannot comment on the current 520d, but here's what I do know.
I had a 2012 520d (N47 engine) with the "blue performance" option which made it Euro6 compliant: it did not use Adblue.
I now have a 2015 535d, also Euro 6 compliant and it does not require Adblue.

Thanks agree on the n47 as I currently have it in the f31....interesting on the 535d

Any b47 users out there??? Would be useful to know

Hiya!

I've got a B47 and it doesn't require Adblue.
