Next Upgrade?

Happy Friday everyone.

So in the 3 months I've had Tallulah and I've done the following upgrades:

1. BavSound Stage One speaker upgrade. Love the upgrade!
2. Black Kidney Grills replaced the chrome, looks awesome on my silver beauty
3. BimmerTech Amp; it's arrived, will install in the next day or so, can't wait to get it done.

Which leads to my dilemma: I thought the next upgrade would be the BavSound subs, seems to be a natural progression.

But I've become very intrigued with the JB1 stage 1 Tuner upgrade. It looks quite simple to install and I like the increased HP it'll give Tallulah.

So what do y'all think? Subs or JB1?

The mod bug is worse than crack!!! We never really finish modding our cars, we tend to just sell and move on.
I vote for completing the audio as well, since you're already on that track. Then start working on the performance upgrades

Yes I do and I'm loving it. The lovely Mrs jcbama85 said 'I buy clothes and you buy car stuff!'

I'm really on the fence on this one. I'll get the amp installed today and make my choice, but I'm leaning BR-1. I'll report back with a Bimmer Tech amp review later today.

Yes sir! She's a keeper. I completely out kicked my coverage with her. Funny thing is she now really likes driving my car, so I'm looking for her an X1 or X3 so she can have her own, although she won't want the mods, except for the Stage One speakers.

Alright alright alright, I pulled the trigger on the next upgrade. Thanks for the advice everyone. I went against the majority here, so subs will be next, but a ways out because I've spent my upgrade allowance for the next few months.

Im curious to what your impression is. Please start a new thread and we can follow it.

I have the the premium HIFI but this is an upgrade that could enhance. From what I read its not going to be like having 2 12 inch JL's in the trunk but if you let it do its thing, the mid range kick should be more pronounced vs slamming the air against the metal.

About 10-20 hours will be needed to break them in so expect to be a bit disappointed at first. I suppose it depends on your musical taste and what your'll be listening two.

Thanks! Will do a review of the amp very soon, then the JB-1, then the subs.

yep curious about your AMP review too! I picked up a dsgII 535i msport in January and have done almost the same modes you have. LOL

1)led interior lights
2)black grills
3)30% tint fw, 20%rw ceramic tint
4)got it coded
5)bavsound stage 1

I paid dearly on the wife tax for these items but all well worth them. I think for me coding so far has been the best mod.

I think either AMP or subs will be next before I start on the exhaust and other things.

Hey I hear ya on the wife tax!!

I've had several people ask for the amp review. We're off for Good Friday, so I plan on doing it then. There is no doubt the subs are in the future. I'm amazed how good the Stage 1 upgrade sounds. The clarity of them is unreal. I can litterly hear fingers gliding over struts on guitar riffs. Really cool. I expect the Amp to make it that much better.
