To anyone that has a 528i, what kind of fuel economy are you getting from it?

I always drive in comfort mode but sometimes in sport mode. I get 17-18 in city, on the highway I get around 32. I use 20 aftermarket wheels and aFe tune n20.

I have the 2014 2.0L engine. I drive 50 miles a day, half city, half highway and average 28MPG. I usually drive gently in Comfort mode in the mornings and aggressively in Sport mode in the evenings. I took a 100 mile round-trip, all highway miles, a few weeks ago with the cruise control set 60MPH and averaged 37MPG in Eco mode. All of these numbers are based on the computer readout and not precise hand calculations. YMMV (I couldn't resist)...

the best way to estimate your MPG is to calculate it manually. reset your odometer to zero, use a full tank of gas and record the total mileage traveled. Then fill up and divide your mileage traveled by the total gallons in took to fill up your tank. That will give you a better estimate than the computer. I did this 20 times to give me a more accurate MPG. I usually average 28 MPG combined. Drove to Vegas from San Diego a few times, 70 mph in eco pro mode and got 32 mpg. No tunes on my car.

I got JB4 Stage 2, ER catless downpipe, KW V2, and 20" Forgestar.

Mpg numbers are meaningless without average speed info.

I have a 2012 528ix N20. I put it in ECO mode when driving to work. uses less fuel than my girlfriend's Honda Civic in over all comparison. I rotate these 2 cars for daily driving for the last 1.5 yrs. So the fuel economy was quite consistent.

I had a detailed thread on this. You can check it up here.

Does it matter which Drive mode to choose? http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=830461

Certainly impressive to say the least. I wonder how much worse the 535i numbers are...
