The delta would gives you an idea the difference between RaceChip Ultimate and BMS Stage 1.
I could careless what the bms can do, I was only seeking info about the race chip since this is a race chip thread. The n63tu makes more power Than the non tu n63, the majority of the people interested in this thread have older n63's so the dyno numbers won't be the same for us. So we'll still be in the dark about the non tu n63 race chip numbers.
It don't matter either N63 or N63tu motor. What you want to know is the difference between N63tu base and N63tu with the RaceChip. Those number will be similar to the N63 since the RaceChip is using the same hardware and firmware for both engines.
It doesn't matter if N63tu makes more power, because even with the dyno number, it won't be the same with other 650 with N63tu. Too many variable to replicate the same output everytime. Even on the same car, you can't get the same reading for every run on the same dyno session.

Fair enough, I guess I shouldn't have assumed you had an old n63 engine. I'll still be tuned it for the results

Nowhere do they say that they fry MAF sensors. He said he recommends replacing them before using stage 2 because they're known to cause misfires due to the original MAF sensors being weak components

I guess when I say "fry" in saying they tend to fail at higher power levels. Figure of speech.

[QUOTE=r33_RGSport;18604337]Ok, an update. Got dyno session scheduled for next wednesday.
I also just installed the BMS Stage 1.
The feel is different. My guess is because it uses different sensor.
BMS using MAP sensor while RaceChip uses TMAP sensor.

We're you able to dyno your car?

Yea, but I need to go back next week.
They suggest me to do one tune at a time since it need times to adapt, so the reading won't be accurate.

Reading back on the history of this thread a dyno for a f10 550i using racechip ultimate or otherwise does not exist and I don't think it ever will because I think this thing will perform on par with the BMS Stage 1. Sad but most likely true. If people who have this tune for the 550i posted better than BMS stage 2 or even stage 1 dynos these tunes would be selling like hotcakes. I believe I read on a BMS forum thread that the racechip is an over priced prettier stage 1.

The only kind of real world data we have is how it "feels"... no 1/8th, no 1/4mi, no dyno, hell not even races against other cars on youtube (n20 racechip pop up but that obviously doesn't count)... with bms stage 1? Data everywhere...

Hopefully I'm proven wrong though!

Cool man! Since you have a TU engine we will have to compare your numbers to the BMS Stage 1 for the TU engine. Should be good. Thanks for doing this service!

Currently there seems to be an issue with the RaceChip Ultimate for the N63tu motor.
I am still in the talk with RaceChip to find the solution, so I couldn't report anything back but the BMS Stage 1 for N63tu motor gives -/+ 30 whp and -/+ 5 lbs/ft torque gain.

If you only picked up only 30whp and 5wtq with a BMS Stage 1 on a n63tu motor and having issues with racechip then something is wrong with your car dude or you installed/dialed in the Stage 1 wrong...ARC550 made awesome grains on his 550xi n63tu... let's just say with a BMS Stage 1 on a TU motor you should have been making BMS n63 stage 2 numbers.

Ben was at 12:00 the setting rec by BMS. Arc posted he saw 20rwhp per click. So 2 more clicks "should " have added 40 to Bens 30 for 70 total. Right where the others dyno'd.

Would be nice to know what everyone has the BMS set at with 93octane and cats. Seems like BMS is conservative with the 12 setting.

Good job Ben !

Very grateful that he's taking the time to do this. Guys here are really interested in the RC but want some hard core numbers before they take the plunge.
